    Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a mandatory statewide shutdown order last Wednesday in wake of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and Alabama Gov.     The Poarch Band of Creek Indians today announced a $1 million donation to the Atmore Community Hospital which serves the city of Atmore and western Escambia County, Alabama, where the Poarch Creek Tribe’s trust lands are located.     In its Friday update, the Escambia County (Ala.) Health Care Authority has announced there have been five confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus reported in Escambia County. The report notes there have been six confirmed positive tests at Atmore Community Hospital and one confirmed positive test at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton.
