    A 68-year old Jay man was killed early Wednesday morning when his vehicle apparently veered into the path of an 18-wheeler near the intersection of Highway 31 and Ringold Street in Flomaton near the high school. Raymond McDaniel, a 1974 graduate of Jay High School, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 9:05 crash.     Two Flomaton residents were arrested on drug charges last Wednesday when Flomaton police officers and agents with the Alabama Drug Task force executed a search warrant at their 904 Titi St., residence. Deidre Helen Fitzgerald, 53, and Donald Victor Gregg, 61, were both charged and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center.     By a show of hands Tuesday night about 50 Century residents said the best option of the Carver Community Center on West Jefferson Avenue, which was constructed in 1945 is to tear down the old building and build a new community center with the idea of preserving the old school's history.     Property owners on both sides of Cottage Road in the Keego community have asked the Escambia County (Ala.) County Commission to vacate the road and take it out of the county road system. Commissioner Larry White said he had no objections as long as the public has no problems.
