Claude Hadley, known as 'the sheetrock man', 54, of East Brewton, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.
Mr. Hadley was born the fifth of eight children to Willie and Stella Hadley in Perdido and had resided in East Brewton the past 20 years. Taught to sheetrock by his brothers, and later self-employed as a sheetrock laborer, he was considered by many to be the best around and enjoyed inventing as a hobby.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at Atmore Church of God with Revs. Ray Ward, Mike Farley and Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed at Lottie United Methodist Church Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hadley is survived by his wife of 36 years, Angie Hadley; two sons, Claude “CJ” Hadley, Jr. and Willie Delmus “Dale” Hadley, both of East Brewton; one daughter, Samantha (Jamie) Kelly of Andalusia; his mother; four brothers, Ronnie (Sissy) Hadley, Chester (Diane) Hadley, Gordy (Carmen) Hadley, all of Atmore, and Matt (Lisa) Hadley of Berrydale, Fla.; three sisters, Vinnie (Danny) Minchew, Becky Ridlehoover, both of Atmore, and Margie (William) Wells of Perdido; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Mrs. Hadley was preceded in death by his father; and numerous other family members.
