Herman Vernon Salter, 73, of Brewton, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 after a brief illness.
Mr. Salter was a native and former resident of Castleberry, Fla. who became a long time resident of Brewton. An avid fisherman, he attended Castleberry School System and was employed as a truck driver before retiring.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15, at Travis Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Cardwell officiating. Burial followed at Travis Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
