Neita Stewart Smtih, 78, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 in Century.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Walnut Hill, Fla. and former resident of Bratt who has resided in Atmore since 2012. Retired from the Escambia County (Fla.) School Board with 33 years of service, she was a member of the Bratt First Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Tim Hawsey and Dale Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Glenn (Debbie) Smith and Roger (Carrie) Smith, both of Atmore; four sisters, Millie Dzurus of Orlando, Myrna (Ray) Hodgen of Atmore and Jackie (David) Johnson and Diann Stewart, both of Century; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchilden.
