Raymond E. Norris, 98, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 in Atmore.
Mr. Norris was a native of Frisco City, Ala. who has resided in Bratt, Fla. Since 1936. Caretaker of the Pine Barren Cemetery, where he was a member and served as assistant treasurer, he was a veteran of WWII and member of both the American Legion Post 90 and VFW Post 7016. He retired from the Escambia County (Fla.) Road Department as a correctional officer.
Mr. Norris is survived by one son-in-law, Ralph Darby of Bratt; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Norris; one daughter, Katie Darby; his parents; and his siblings.
