Melvin Findley, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 in Pensacola.
Mr. Findley was a native and lifelong resident of Century. He was an RN for 35 years with various local hospitals and nursing homes and a member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral home with Rev. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Findley is survived by two daughters, Brenda Jernigan of Byrneville, Fla. and Cathy (Jack) Smith of Flomaton; one sister, Sharon Hood of Brierfield, Ala.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Findley was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sarah Findley; two brothers, Paul Findley and Shorty Findley; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
