Board of education OKs personnel changes

The Escambia County (Ala.) Board of Education approved the following personnel changes at is Tuesday, Jan. 30 meeting. The changes are as follows:

Approval to reinstate (2) sick leave days to Ima Sue Beasley, job specialist at Escambia Career Readiness Center, due to an on-the-job injury, effective January 11, 2018 and January 12, 2018; Approval to reinstate one (1) sick leave day to Heather White, elementary teacher at Rachel Patterson Elementary School, due to an on-the-job injury, effective October 25, 2017; Approval to reinstate thirteen (13) sick leave days to Barbara Shipp, 7-hour lunchroom worker at Pollard McCall Junior High School, due to an on-the-job injury, effective October 5, 2017, October 6, 2017, October 9, 2017 through October 13, 2017, October 16, 2017 through October 20, 2017 and October 23, 2017

Leave of Absence

Kathy Steadham, 7-hour custodian at Turtle Point Science Center, leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act, effective December 1, 2017 and December 29, 2017; Kimberly Caraway, office aide at Huxford Elementary School, leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act, effective August 16, 2017 through November 8, 2017; Kimberly Caraway, office aide at Huxford Elementary School, leave of absence, effective November 9, 2017 through November 30, 2017
