Pensacola man arrested during apparent drug drop at Jet Pep

A joint federal and state investigation led to the arrest of a Pensacola man on drug charges last Thursday outside the Jet Pep Service Station near the Highway 113 and Interstate 65 intersection, charging him with attempting to commit a controlled substance crime.

Christopher Brandon Williams of Pensacola was taken into custody by multiple law enforcement agencies about 8 a.m. Jan. 25 outside the Jet Pep on Highway 113.

Information released by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said agents with Homeland Security Investigation from Birmingham and Mobile, ALEA agents with the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, ALEA's SWAT team, ALEA's Motor Carrier and members of the Alabama National Guard Counter Drug Program assisted in the arrest.

Williams, 32, was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton and is being held on $250,000 bond.

No other information about the investigation or the arrest was made available.
