Aaron Augustus “Gus” Odom, 71, of Castleberry, Ala., died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 in the Atmore hospital.
Mr. Odom was born in Brewton and had been a resident of Castleberry since 1971. A 1964 W.S. Neal High School graduate, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was of the Pentecostal faith and worked as a farmer.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at Craver's Funeral Home with Rev. Russ McDonald officiating. Burial followed at Odom Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Odom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Barnes Odom of Castleberry; two sons, Robert Odom and Ken (Jeannie) Odom, both of Brewton; one daughter, Dean Odom of Brewton; one brother, Eugene Odom of Camdem, Ala.; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, Yancey and Eunice Odom; one brother, Donnie Odom; and one grandchild.
