Adam David Gantt, 81, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2018.
Mr. Gantt was born June 9, 1936 to Kermit and Cornellia Williams Gantt. Graduating from Escambia Training School in 1954, he went to Korea as a soldier during the Korean Conflict. Married in 1958, he later worked as a welder, builder and handy man and as a minister.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, at Christian Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Powell officiating. Burial followed at the V. A. Cemetery in Spanish Fort with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Gantt is survived by his wife, Mamie Gantt; three sons, Paul Gantt, Thomas Gantt and Joseph Derek Gantt; two daughters, Valerie Gantt and Joyce Gantt; two sisters, Mary L. Green and Jannette; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Mr. Gantt was preceded in death by three sons, Steven Lynell Gantt, Deandre Gantt and Adam David Gantt, Jr.; one brother, Willie Charles Willis; and one grandchild.
