Jacqueline Dukes, 69, of Atmore, died Saturday, jan. 26, 2018 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala.
Mrs. Dukes was a native of Atmore and a 1967 graduate of Escambia County Training School. She was a member of The House of God Pillar of the Truth Church where she had served as Deaconness and church treasurer.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at The House of God Pillar Ground of Truth Holiness Church with Rev. Shirley Dean and Pastor Maurice Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mrs. Dukes is survived by her husband, George Dukes of Atmore; two sons, Gary Barnes and Kendrell Dukes, both of Atmore; one daughter, Hazel (Kenneth) Bright of Brewton; four brothers, Robert (Willie) Salter of Los Angeles, Jessie Salter and Kenny (Susie) Salter, both of Atmore, and Glenn Young of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Lula Banks of Atmore and Melanie (Maurice) Etheridge of Century; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
