Wilbur Rabon, 77, of Castleberry, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 in a Pensacola hospice after a brief illness.
Mr. Rabon was a native and lifelong resident of Conecuh County who was of the Baptist faith. He served as owner and operator of Castleberry Auto Sales.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Barbara Green and Earl McCall officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Rabon is survived by two sons, Wilbur Jack (Brenda) Rabon of Ft. Leavenforth, Kansas and Albert Leon Rabon of Castleberry; two daughters, Ethel Mae (Jerry) Harrelson of Stockton and Ann Nita (Marty) Gray of Castleberry; five brothers, Levi (Becky) Rabon, Ernest (Debbie Jo) Rabon, Joe Rabon, and Darroll (Cindy) Rabon, all of Castleberry, and Lester (Sue) Rabon of Brewton; three sisters, Irma (Don) Pipkin of Evergreen, Sue Boyd of Brewton and Fay (Albert) Dyess of Castleberry; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Mr. Rabon was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Pettis Rabon; one son, Robert Wilbur Rabon; one daughter, Jackie Bartlett; one brother, James Rabon; and two grandchildren.
