Nathaniel “John” Rothschild, 85, of the McCullough Community of Atmore, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.
Mr. Rothschild was a native of Monroe County and lived his early life in Coy, Ala. before moving to the McCullough Community of Atmore. A member and Deacon at the Mt. Gillead Baptist Church, he was a retired employee of Scott Paper Co. (now Kimberly Clark) and he was a mason.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Mt. Gillead Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial followed at Pierce-Rabb Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mr. Rothschild is survived by his wife, Bertha Rothscild of McCullough; one daughter, Juanita Austin of McCullough; two brothers, Thomas Rothschild of Coy and Peter Rothschild of Selma; three sisters, Irene Sunday of Birmingham, Channie Rothschild of Canton, Ohio and Olivia Hill of New York, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members.
