School bus hit by Atmore teen

An Atmore teen was charged with careless driving after his vehicle rear-ended a school bus full of students on Highway 4 in Century, Fla., according to an Escambia County (Fla.) media release.

Jakeldria Brown, 18, of Atmore, was behind an Escambia County school bus on Highway 4 traveling east approaching Northview High School.

Around 8:50 a.m., Monday, Feb. 12, the school bus stopped in the eastbound lane preparing to make a left turn into the school parking lot. Brown's 2005 Monte Carlo failed to stop safely behind the school bus, striking the rear of the school bus with its front.

None of the students on the bus were injured.
