White charged with meth, synthetic drugs
A Flomaton man being housed in the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton on a previous drug charge, now faces additional drug charges when he returned from a work detail and correctional officers found methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana (spice) in his possession.
Earnest Ray White II, 31, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (spice) and promoting prison contraband II.
According to reports filed with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, White was on a work detail outside the detention center on Feb. 13. When he returned to the county jail a search revealed the illegal drugs.
Reports noted correctional officers recovered meth, suboxone strips and synthetic narcotics from White when he returned to the detention center.
White was in the detention center following a Nov. 7, 2017 arrest for unlawful possession and distribution of meth and marijuana.
No bond has been set on the new charges.
