Donnie Eugene Rolin, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018.
Mr. Rolin was born Jan. 17, 1946 to Eugene “Buster” and Bessie Georgia Rolin in Atmore. A member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, he resided in the Poarch community his whole life and worked as a coast to coast truck driver, retiring in 1999. He was an avid fisherman.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19, at McCullough Christian Center. Burial followed at Judson Indian Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Rolin is survived by his wife, Dianna Lynn (Lassitter) Rolin; two daughters, Cathy Lynn (Allen) Rolin Cooke of Grove Hill, Ala. and Sonya Charles of Milton; siblings, Peggy Couch (late Harold McElhaney), Ernest (Tina) Rolin, Harvey James Rolin, Roy Vernon Rolin, Walter (Anita) Rolin, Virginia (late Alton) Godwin, Kenneth Wayne Rolin, Deno (Necole) Rolin, Johnny Mack (Ashley) Rolin, Autonya (Wesley) Jordan, Shawn (Stephanie) Rolin and Aubrey “Tinker” Rolin, all or Poarch, and Anthony (Jennifer) Rolin of Bratt, Fla.; three grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
