Elizabeth “Libby” Albreast Garrett, 90, of Brewton, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 in a local hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Garrett was a native of Castleberry who moved to Atlanta, where she lived for more than 60 years before moving to Brewton. She was a member of Northside United First Methodist Church in Georgia and retired school teacher from the Atlanta School System with more than 30 years of service. A Conecuh County High School graduate who also graduated from Montevallo College and Georgia State, she was a member of the Brewton First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Garrett is survived by one step-son, Stephen (Donna) Garrett of Georgia; one son-in-law, Wendell Williamson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Williamson.
