John Ivey Roberson

John Ivey Roberson, 66, of Brewton, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2018 after a brief illness.

Mr. Roberson was a native and longtime resident of Brewton. He retired as an oilrigger and was a member of the Calvary Mennonite Church.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Regehr officiating. Burial followed at Calvary Mennonite Church Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Mr. Roberson is survived by one son, John Scott (Christy) Burnett of Calera, Ala.; one daughter, Shannon (Clay) Hough of Axis, Ala.; two sisters, Lona (Bill) Kendrick of Owassa, Ala. and Beth (Jimmy) Jenkins of East Brewton; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.

Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his parents, James Horace Langley and Edna Faye Nelson Roberson Blackmon; and one sister, Wanda Roberson.
