Infant Emersyn Kate Rolin died Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Atmore.
Infant Rolin was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, born Oct. 24, 2017, and attended the Friendly Holiness Church.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bros. Ray Ward and Joe White officiating. Burial followed at Judson Creek Indian Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral home directing.
Infant Rolin is survived by her parents, Ronald and Heather Rolin of Atmore; one sister, Harper Lee Rolin of Atmore; four grandparents, Joe and Lena White and Ronnie and Margie Rolin, all of Atmore; two great-grandparents, Butch and Joann White of Tallahassee, Fla.; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family members.
Infant Rolin was preceded in death by two great-grandparents, Howard and Hattie Mae McGhee; and other family members.
Jacqueline 'Jackie' Blackburn Smith
Jacqueline “Jackie” Blackburn Smith, 70, of Brewton, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton and member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church. A 1966 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, she was a retired bus driver from the Escambia County School System with more than 31 years of service. She was also a member of the Brewton Quilting Club.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Craig officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home directing.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kenny Smith of Brewton; two sons, Shannon (Lottie) Smith and Chris (Shea) Smith, both of Brewton; two sisters, Jeanette Lowe and Annie Ruth (Buddy) Bell, both of Brewton; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Blackburn and James Blackburn; and one sister, Evelyn Frances Blackburn.
