John H. Mixon, 73, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.
Mr. Mixon was born Dec. 20, 1944 to Bill and Velma Mixon.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church in McKenzie, Ala. with Rev. Rudolph officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Mixon is survived by four children, Johnnie (Suze) Mixon of California, Carlos (Shereka) Baxter of Florida, Patricia (Gandy) Barker of Ohio and Steve (Natasha) Walker of Andalusia, Ala.; three brothers, Bobby, Willie and Jesse Mixon, all of Mixonville, Ala.; three sisters, Janice (James) Salter of Evergreen, Ala., Elizabeth (Willie) Gandy of Youngstown, Ohio and Edith (Jeffery) Tolbert of Mixonville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and oterh relatives and friends.
Mr. Mixon was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Clarence Mixon and Ivory Mixon.
