Warrants are being signed on at least two hobos who are accused of breaking into the old Red Man Pipe building on Church Street in Flomaton where they are accused of using spray paint to vandalize the inside of the building.
Flomaton Police Chief Bryan Davis said a police officer was flagged down about 11:45 p.m. Sunday by someone telling the officer it appeared someone had broken into the building.
Officers responded and found the door had been broken in to. Inside the building, officers found that paint had been sprayed on the walls.
Monday, Escambia County (Fla.) sheriff's deputies made contact with five individuals who apparently arrived in the area on a freight train. Some of the men had paint on their clothes that matched the paint used inside the Flomaton building.
Inv. Chance Thompson interviewed the suspects and two of the five confessed. Warrants are being obtained charging the men with burglary and criminal mischief.
