Edna Mae Fore Coley Brazzell, 80 of Atmore, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
Mrs. Brazzell was a native of Monroeville, where she attended school. A homemaker an member of Gaines Chapel AME Church before joining Gospel Temple #1 Holiness Church in Pensacola, she donated land for the building of Gospel Temple #2 Holiness Church in Atmore (Brazzell Hill).
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Elder Brenda Mitchell and Rev. Willie Hawthorne officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mrs. Brazzell is survived by seven sons, EddieLee (Anita) Fore of Foley, Raymond Coley and Harold (Annie) Brazzel, both of Atmore. Ricky (Veronica) Coley of Bay Minette, Ronald Coley of Huntsville, Ala., Michael Coley of Beaumont, Texas and Willie (Shirley) Coley of Pensacola; two daughters, Marie Hartley and Lois Brazzell, both of Atmore; 41 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Brazzell was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Brazzell; her childrens' father, Isom “Kite” Coley, Sr.; one son, Isom Coley, Jr.; her parents, Edward and Hattie Davis Fore; one brother, Hildon Fore; four sisters, Lucy Hawthorne, Gladys Nettles, Margaret Dailey and Mary Fore; and one grandchild.
