Pierce Joby Moye, 82, of Century, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Century Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Moye was born in Flomaton and spent his lifetime in the Fannie community of Century. A member of Happy Valley Holiness Church, he worked for Alton Ray Bethea, Red Lambeth and Campbell Sand and Gravel and was a family man.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Raymond Wiggins and Tommy Lee Johnson officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Moye is survived by one son, Andy (Donna) Moye of Flomaton; three daughters, Patricia (Larry) Johnson and Wanda (Everette) Brown, both of East Brewton and Brenda Peterson of Century; two sisters, Myrtle Stephens of Atmore and Mattie Carden of Flomaton; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Mr. Moye was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Moye; two sons, Randy Moye and Joseph Moye; one daughter, Joann Moye; three brothers, Cecil Moye, Houston Moye and Calvin Moye; and one sister, Nettie Pearl Robinson.
