Billy Ray “Bill” Emmons, 64, died Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Brewton.
Mr. Emmons was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. who graduated with the W.S. Neal High School Class of 1971. Serving in the National Guard, he was a boiler operator at Smurfit Stone for several years and an avid beekeeper. He was one of the founding members and served as past-president of the Wallace Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brewton, where he served as a Deacon.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, at the First Baptist Church of Brewtopn with Bro. Cavin Cawthon officiating. Burial followed at Hanberry Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Emmons is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Morris Emmons of Brewton; two sons, Timothy (Kasey) Emmons of Wetumpka, Ala. and Chris Emmons of Brewton; two sisters, Barbara Nelson of Bradley, Ala. and Sandra Emmons of Brewton; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Emmons was preceded in death by his parents, Hannis and Voncile Emmons; and one sister, Clara Emmons.
