Vandalism prompts reward

A $200 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for destroying multiple concrete benches at Oaks Common Park on Martin Luther King Drive in Flomaton.

At the June 11 Flomaton Town Council meeting, Councilwoman Lillian Dean reported eight of 12 concrete benches purchased by citizens in the community had been destroyed.

“All have been broken up,” Dean told the council at the June 11 meeting.

Dean said she will put up $100 and said Mayor Dewey Bondurant Jr., agreed to put up another $100 for the reward money.
