Lucille Mitchell Peacock, 86, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Mobile.
Mrs. Peacock resided in Atmore for most of her life, where she was a member of First Baptist Church, and of the Order of Eastern Star Huxford. Retired from Vanity Fair Mills with 36 years of service, she earned a degree in cosmetology at Reid State, where she also taught for 16 years. Retired a second time, she began working for Atmore Realty until she fully retired.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 16, at First Baptsit Church with Revs. Arnold Hendrix and James E. Dukes officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Peacock is survived by one daughter, Ann Peacock Gordon (Don) of Atmore; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Peacock was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, A.J. “Jr.” Peacock; and her parents, Robert and Nellie Mitchell.
