The East Brewton Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects accused of stealing about $300 from an East Brewton business in a 'quick change' scam.
Police Chief Kenny Brazille said the two men entered the business last Friday. He described them as two black males, one in his 50s and a second in his 60s. He said they left in a silver Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows.
He said the scam involves going into a store asking for change for a $100 bill over and over to confuse the cashier into giving them back more money.
Brazille said the two men were working together with one man approaching the cashier and the second keeping other people out of the checkout line to create more time to pull off the scam.
Brazille said so far nobody in East Brewton has been able to identify the two men from video footage taken at the store which leads him to believe they may be from out of town.
If anyone has information or can identify the suspects they are asked to contact the East Brewton Police Department at 867-4865 or their nearest law enforcement agency.
