A Flomaton man remains in the Covington County Jail after being found asleep in his truck early last Thursday morning with a pipe in his lap.
William Jeffrey Geck, 53, 212 North Vanhoosen Road, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a pistol without a permit and two counts of failure to appear.
According to reports from the Covington County Drug Task Force, Geck was found sleeping in a passenger truck on Highway 29 South near Andalusia. When officers approached they noticed the pipe in his lap.
He was jailed on $16,000 bond on the drug and weapons charges but is being held without bond on the two failure to appear charges.
No other information was available as of press time.
