David Earl Miller, 66, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
Mr. Miller was born December 31, 1951 to John R., Jr. and Virginia Kersh Miller in Brewton. A 1970 T.R. Miller High School graduate, he attended various colleges throughout the southeast after which he pursued numerous interests. Serving on various boards, including Neal Land and Timber, Inc. and The Balloon Federation of America, where he served as president for 8 years, he was an avid balloonist who flew over five continents including the North Pole and the Great Wall of China. He was also a member of The Bohemian Club.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 13, at First United Methodist Church in Brewton with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Miller is survived by two sons, David (Ashley) Miller of Cleveland, Ga. and Richard Craig Miller of Brewton; one brother, J. Richard (Carol) Miller, III, of Loxley, Ala.; two sisters, Nancy Miller (William D.) Melton of Evergreen, Ala. and Jean Miller (Sandy) Stimpson of Mobile; and numerous nephews, nieces great nephews, great nieces, and other family members and friends.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Craig Miller; and his parents.
