Judy Elaine Thompson, 66, of Atmore, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
Mrs. Thompson was born November 3, 1951, to Odell Donaldson and Sylvia Joan Strawbridge Johnson in Atmore. A member of the McRae Street United Methodist Church, she was retired from Vanity Fair Mills and later owned a home day care for more than 10 years.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 6, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Kenny Moore officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 40 years, Clark Duval Thompson of Atmore; two sons, Shayne Godwin (Ashley Harris) of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Blake Godwin (Marie Connors) of Bay Minette, Ala.; four daughters, Shelley (Billy) Donald, Hope (Shawn) Lassiter, Courtney (Chris) Harrison and Valerie (Mychal) Reddix, all of Atmore; one brother, Gary Donaldson of Atmore; three sisters, Peggy Phillips of Atmore, Patty (Gerald) Palmer of Huxford and Marilyn (Danny) Stone of Birmingham; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other family members.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents; and numerous other family members.
