ADULTS ROCKED AT BREWTON LIBRARY

Adults enjoyed playing board games and singing karaoke Monday, July 1, as part of the Libraries Rock Summer Reading Program the Brewton Library is hosting. The library is located at 206 W. Jackson St., and offers various interactive activities as part of its summer reading programs for ages pre-K through adult.

Pre-K through 6th graders can come at 10 a.m., Thursdays, for a “rock” party with fun and games; July 19 will feature BE-AT Your Best Drum Extravaganza with Mark Seymour, as he plays almost 70 different percussion instruments; and July 26 will have Animal Tales, presenting Animal Architects, which features exotic animals from around the world that use unique abilities to build and construct. Lunch will be provided.

Tweens, age 11-13, can join at 4:30 p.m. every Thursday, through July 26; a rain stick, African thumb piano and toilet roll kazoo on July 19; and Sharpie mugs, glowing bouncy balls and red cup challenge on July 26.

Teens, age 13 and up, can come at 5:30 p.m., Thursdays, through July 26, and enjoy game night, Phase 10, cupcake wars, Uno, craft night, karaoke, poetry slam, heads up!, paint night, movie night and make-up class.

Adults are invited to register in person for programs at 4:30 p.m., Mondays, through July 30, for the following programs: July 23 offers busy with crafts; and July 30 features jammin with a paint party. For more information, contact 251-867-4626.
