Linda B. Phillips, 87, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Atmore, Ala.
Mr. Phillips was a native and lifelong resident of Walnut Hill, Fla. who retired from the Naval Air Station in Pensacola as a sheet metal instructor. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Alabama National Guard with 21 years of service, he was a member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 15, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Ted Bridges and James Boyd officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Phillips is survived by four sons, Mike (Cathy) Phillips of Atmore, Barry (Deborah) Phillips of Barrineau Park, Fla. and Dale (Perla) Phillips and Tim (Anna) Phillips, all of Pensacola; one sister, Ethel (Windell) Wilcox of Daphne, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marie Hubbird Phillips; his parents, Dovie and Lillie Phillips; three brothers; and three sisters.
