Walter Clifford West, 66, of Floral City, Fla., died Sunday, July 15, 2018.
Mr. West was born Nov. 23, 1951 to Wilford and Rubie Smith in Lancaster, Pa. Moving from Wawbeek, Ala. and Bratt, Fla. to Citrus County, Mr. West was retired from the Ridgway Roof Truss Company in Gainesville as a truss designer. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Inverness where he taught Sunday School and sat on the Board of Deacons.
The funeral was held at 12 p.m., Saturday, July 21, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home. Burial followed at Bratt-Godwin Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mr. West is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jean Skelton West; two children. Jeremy (Marnie) West of Rockford, Ill. and Juanita Sanders of Inverness; his parents; two brothers, Jeffrey (Dee) West of Brooksville and Jay (Cindy) West of Fairbanks, Alaska; one sister, Jeanie (David) Love of Concord, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
Mr. West was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Vosburgh.
