Edward “Junior” Cobb, 76, died Friday, July 27, in Uriah, Ala.
Mr. Cobb was a native of Pensacola who had resided in Megargel, Ala. and then Uriah for the past 16 years. Owner and operator of Cobb’s Garage, he was a member of both the NRA Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Monday July 30, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Matt Brown and Allen Cobb officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife, Virginia Cobb of Uriah; two sons, Eddie (Tina) Upton of Frisco City and Allen (Cindy) Cobb of Uriah; two daughters, Cindy (David) Morgan of Megargel and Tammy (Jeff) Brooks of Uriah; one brother, Clifford Cobb (Betty) Allen of Mobile; three sisters, Jean Bodiford of Greenville, Ala. and Ann Brown of Frisco City, Ala. and Sandra Bradley of Gulf Shores; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Hayles Cobb; his parents, Bill and Freda Cobb; two brothers, Walter Cobb and Ray Cobb; and one sister, Lary Lou Weaver.
