Roy Lee Hale, Sr.

Roy Lee Hale, Sr., 67, died Monday, July 23, 2018 in Jay.

Mr. Hale was born July 29, 1950 to Will and Lue Emma Hale in Farmville, Ala. Employed by ADICO in Brewton, he retired with more than 20 years of service, and later worked at Holland Farms in Jay, Fla.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 28, at Pilgrim Lodge Missionary Baptist Church with Overseer Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Century Cemetery with Jackson-McMurray Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Hale is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosie Hale of Century; six children, Rodney Hale of Saraland, Ricky Hale and Tyeka Hale, both of Century, Antonio (Kharda) Hale of Brewton, Roy Lee (Kirshanda) Hale, Jr., of Pensacola, and Ramon (Chanda) Hale of Cantonment; two sisters, Lucille Hale of Farmville and Lucille Hale of Century; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and other family members.

Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roosevelt Hale; five sisters, Minnie Williams, Rosie McCaster, Willie Nell Lowe, Claude Hale and Annie Mae Ewing; one grandparent, Sam Purifoy; and one grandchild.
