Evelyn Marie DeLoach Burnham, 86, of Brewton, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 after an extended illness.
Mrs. Burnham was born Feb. 17, 1932, and was a longtime member of Ridge Road Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary and women's Mission Union. A homemaker, she was the first Vacation Bible School director for the church.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Ridge Road Baptist Church with Bros. Robert Knowles, Oscar Burnham and Kyle Cinereski officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Burnham is survived by her husband of 68 years, Oscar Louis Burnham; two sons, David (Kay) Burnham of Brewton and Keith (Darlene) Burnham of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter, Arden (Michael) Cooper; eight grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members.
Mrs. Burnham was preceded in death by her mother, Sophie Oxner; two brothers, Don Oxner and Roy Oxner; one sister, Juanita Crutchfield; and numerous other family members and friends.
