James Earl “Jimmy” Agerton, 81, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, in a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Agerton was a lifelong resident of Brewton and member of the National Guard Reserve. Employed as a shop foreman with T.R. Miller Mill Company for 45 years, he was of the Holiness faith.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 30, at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Agerton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elouise Thompson Agerton of Brewton; one son, James “Ricky” Agerton of Eufaula, Ala.; one daughter, Pat (John) Fairall of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Agerton was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Bryan Agerton.
