Although the weather was hot, the music was hotter in Brewton Saturday as locals turned out to listen to local musicians and bands play on the front porches of residents' homes along Belleville and Evergreen Avenues for the second annual Porch Fest. Hosted by the Brewton Chamber of Commerce, the event proved that the stifling heat wouldn't keep crowds from enjoying the sounds. Food venders and Kona Ice were on hand to serve attendees and satisfy cravings. Children took to the blocked off streets and played all while the musical notes filled the air. A train was even on hand to take event goers for a fun spin around the block.
