Mae Fannie Brown, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Monroe County, Ala. and had been a resident of Atmore most of her life. A member of Gaines Chapel AME, where she sang in the Senior Choir, she was a retired presser from local dry cleaners and loved flowers.
The funeral was held at 11 a,n,m Saturday, Sept. 22, at Gaines Chapel AME Church with Rev. Amos Smith officiating. Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons, S.J. Brown, Jr. and Gregory Brown, both of Atmore, and J.S. Brown of Phenix City, Ala.; two daughters, Bonnie Bazemore Mason and Brunetta Bradford, both of Atmore; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, J.S. Brown, Sr.; her parents, Joe and Cornelia Roberts; and three brothers, Calvin Roberts, Melvin Roberts and John Nealy Roberts.
