Thomas “Tom” George Greenwell, Sr., 83, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 in McDavid, Fla.
Mr. Greenwell was a native of Bogia, Fla. who had resided in McDavid for most of his life. Retired from Monsanto with more than 39 years of service, he was a member of Ray's Chapel Baptist Church and an avid outdoorsman.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Brown officiating. Burial followed at Ray's Chapel Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Greenwell is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Greenwell of McDavid; two sons, Thomas George (Sandra) Greenwell, Jr. of Molino, Fla. and Mark Andrew (Cindy) Greenwell of Bluff Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Beth (Ken) Hayes of Molino; one brother, Roger (Rhoda) Greenwell of Cantonment, Fla.; three sisters, Joyce Nelson of Cordell, Ga., Barbara Johnson of Bluff Springs and Sharon (Kenny) Rigby of Cantonment; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
