Robert Haskew Middleton, 97, of Atmore, died Oct. 16, 2018, in Fairhope, Ala.
Mr. Middleton was born April 16, 1921, to James Lambert and Phenie Owens Middleton in Pineapple, Ala. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, he was a member of the American Legion in Atmore, giving 75 years of service. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore.
The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at First Baptist Church of Atmore with Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with full military honors and Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Middleton is survived by one son, Bob (Linda) Middleton of Gulf Shores; one daughter, Pam (Pat Rowan) Middleton of Irvington, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Middleton was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Middleton; his parents; one brother, Zolon Middleton; and one grandchild.
