The Jay Historial Society will feature Glen Freeman at its meeting tonight, Thursday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m.
Freeman, a 1958 Jay High School graduate and a U.S. Army military Police Veteran, is the longest tenured Georgia-Pacific employee in all of the company, with 59 years of service in the Brewton GP mill.
Freeman will tell stories of ‘Growing Up in Jay’, when Troy Penton was Jay High School’s principal, Agnes Beal and Hune Dugger were Senior Sponsors, the cost of a gallon of gas was 25 cents, Dwight D. Eisenhower was president, and many other facts and tales of life in Jay in 1958....
