Allie Frances McGraw Hardy

Allie Frances McGraw Hardy, 86, of Brewton, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018.

Mrs. Hardy was born Oct. 23, 1932, to Sherman and Isabelle McGraw in Brewton, Ala. Following her marriage to David Hardy, the couple moved to Lakeland, Fla., where they established Hardy Industries. She worked as a bookkeeper for 60 years for the company, and today, her son Samuel operates it. She attended Eastside Assembly in Winter Haven, Fla. She played the piano, organ and accordion at numerous churches throughout the years.

The funeral was held at 12 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas White officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry, Ala. With Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by one son, Samuel Hardy of Lakeland; two daughters, Sharon Pierce and Betty Harrell; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by one brother, Paul McGraw; and three sisters.
