Jerry Michael “Mike” Lowery, 72, of Brewton, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 after a brief illness.
Mr. Lowery was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton who was a 1964 graduate of W.S. Neal High School. A member of the Ridge Road Baptist Church and fan of Civil War memorabilia, he was a retired millwright from International Paper Company with 39 years of service.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Speaker Rusty Andrews officiating. Burial followed at Ridge Road Baptist Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Sue Minchew Lowery of Brewton; one son, Alan (Racheal) Lowery of Brewton; one daughter, Sherri (Gary) Weaver of Brewton; one brother, Joel (Carla) Lowery of Milton, Fla.; 1o grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by one son, Shane Lowery; and one brother, John Dana Lowery.
