Mazie Glendora “Glennie” Griffith Godwin, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019.
Mrs. Godwin was born Feb. 3, 1932, near Atmore, Ala. She helped build the Pentecostal Holiness Church when she lived in the Farm Hill community near Cantonment, Fla. A member of the Pineview Pentecostal Holiness Church, the was an avid seamstress and artist.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at Pineview Holiness Church with Bro. James Peacock officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Godwin is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Godwin; two daughters, Sharon (Wayne) Lisenby and Patricia (Mike) Stepherson; one brother, Tommy (Betty) Griffith; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Mrs. Godwin was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cora Griffith; one brother, Leslie Griffith; three sisters, Louverne Etheridge, Ruth Lessard and Grace Fuller; and other family members.
