Willie George “Junior” Lee, Jr., 66, of Atmore, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at Atmore Nursing Care.
Mr. Lee was a native of Atmore born to Willie George, Sr. and Novella Lee. He attended Escambia County school sand worked as a painter at Ingalls Shipyard in Mississippi.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, at Mt. Gillead Baptist Church in Freemanville with Rev. Gary Bryant and Pastor Darlene McMillan officiating. Burial followed at Pierce, Rabb and Montgomery Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mr. Lee is survived by one son, Akavia (Coco Michelle) Lee of Moss Point, Miss.; his mother, Novella Lee Johnson of Atmore; siblings, Alexander (Dora) McMillan, Gloria J. Wright and Linda Lee, all of Atmore, Debbie Ann, Jacob and Glenda (Kenneth) Brown of Houston, Texas, and Willie Clarence Smith of Mobile; three grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
