A head-on collision Wednesday night in Bratt close to 8 p.m. left an Atmore man and a Brewton woman in the hospital.
Justin Elliot, 19, of Atmore was traveling in a northerly direction on County Road 99 when his 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe failed to maintain a single lane and struck the front of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee traveling south, driven by 28-year-old Patricia Griener of Brewton, according to a Florida.
The Tahoe came to rest facing a southerly direction in the southbound lane while the Cherokee wound up in the west ditch of County Road 99 facing east. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Both suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital by helicopter. Elliot was taken to Baptist hospital and Griener to Sacred Heart. Both drivers were treated for their injuries and were reported in stable condition.
