Richard L. Tidwell, 57, of Brewton, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 after a brief illness.
Mr. Tidwell was born in Troy, Ala. and was a long-time resident of the Brewton area. Of the Christian faith, he was an Elba High School graduate who worked as a driver for Hard Times Trucking Co.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 1, at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bros. Mike Cosey and Bobby Carnley officiating. Burial followed at the Evergreen Cemetery in Elba with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by his wife, Terry Pruitt Tidwell of Brewton; four sons, Richard Chad (Melissa) Tidwell and Stephen Tidwell, both of Middleport, N.Y., Stanley (Jessica) Tidwell of Castleberry, Ala. and Stewart Tidwell of Brewton; two daughters, Samantha Madden of Jay, Fla. and Tonja (Clifton) Monroe of Moss Point, Miss.; two brothers, Joe Tidwell of Pensacola and Wayne Tidwell of Waycross, Ga.; one sister, Martha Ann Brown of Opp; and 14 grandchildren.
Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by one daughter, Alicia Tidwell; and his parents, Leavy Henry Tidwell and Tinnie Lee Campbell Tidwell.
