Dorothy Vickrey Hardy, 93, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in Atmore, Ala.
Mrs. Hardy was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore who worked as a bookkeeper at Hardy and Kearley Garage for many years, She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Lottie Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 12 p.m., Saturday, April 6, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Pruitt officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hardy is survived by three daughters, Judy H. (Dale) Clements of Millry, Ala., Pat H. (Johnny) Moore of Cantonment, Fla. and Margie H. Harper of Atmore; two sisters, Peggy (Ron) Muck of Loxley, Ala. and Barbara (Al) Castro of Pensacola; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louie E. Hardy; one daughter, Kathryn Jeter; and one brother, Ralph Vickrey.
